Renew Health is proud to launch a new initiative partnering with correctional facilities across New Mexico to expand access to evidence-based addiction treatment and mental health services. Following the passage of Senate Bill 425, all county detention centers are now required to provide Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and behavioral health support to individuals in custody. Renew Health’s Correctional Facilities Program helps counties meet these requirements by providing comprehensive, medically supervised care both during incarceration and through re-entry into the community.
We believe recovery should not stop at the prison gate. Substance use disorder is a treatable medical condition, and providing care inside correctional settings helps reduce recidivism, improve public safety, and give individuals the opportunity to rebuild their lives with dignity.
